Stay Tuned For The "Saturday Selections!"

I have, once again, dropped off the radar. Honestly, my health is not good. I don't typically like to go into it (especially on the Internet, where anyone can read it)!

Moving right along, I have decided to try harder on the Blog front. I am inspired by my sister Janae's blogging efforts. She has multiple blogs and does blogging for Etsy teams too. I like her Etsy blog a lot. (That blog is: claireandmebabystore.blogspot.com so you can follow it - you will love it!)

One of the cool things she does is the "Thursday Three." She basically selects three items from Etsy and says why she likes them.

Now, to me, this is AWESOME. For example, one of my favorite things about the O! Oprah Magazine is the O! List! How sweet is it to share your favorite things and have other people possibly/probably agree with your good taste?!? True, it would also be sweet to have people buy you these things, but let's be real; praise of your good taste is the next best thing.

So, I have decided to borrow liberally from my sister's blog (Hey Janae, you did not make this idea up - I am sure of it!) and debut the "Saturday Selections." I know, you are very excited! So am I.

I Disappeared for a bit, but I'm Back!

Everyone, I'm sorry for dropping off the face of the earth for a bit. If it hasn't been one thing, it's been another. I have had pneumonia multiple times, been in the hospital for extended stays...you get the picture. But I would really like to get the blog up and running. It is a goal of mine.

One of the things that has changed with Etsy is the Treasury feature. Now you can make a "Treasury East." Let me just tell you, this function is totally rad. You don't have to wait for a Treasury to "open up" - you can make a Treasury any time you wish and it can stay for a (supposed) indefinite period of time. How sweet is that? It does mean there are a million Treasuries out there, but many of them are mine and I like that.

There are also several new Treasury teams that have sprung up. They have "Treasury Challenges" and promote the items of other people in their team. My sister Janae (or ClaireandJanae in Etsy) is on the Curation Nation Treasury team. I will admit to being jealous of her. You basically have to have two things to get into these teams; A. A fully stocked store with good pictures, and B. The ability to make good Treasuries.

I can make good Treasuries, but need to work on my store. I'm honest about it, but it does make me down. I'm going to see what I can do to improve it, short of buying a new camera with a macro feature. (Last resort, but probably what I need to do.)

My sister has also been having Treasury Challenges on her blog. I LOVE entering them. It is challenging and fun building a Treasury around a certain item or theme. Janae is really good at blogging. She is my inspiration for starting up again. Keep your fingers crossed that I maintain the momentum! And also keep them crossed that I get better at posting photos...
